NL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Sunday, July 1st, 2035 Juan Guerero was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 23-year-old right fielder definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen June's National League Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting. In 26 games Guerero batted .284 for Philadelphia, slapping 27 hits in 95 at-bats with 5 home runs, drove in 17 runs and scored 8 times. So far this season Guerero has gotten 77 hits in 293 at-bats for a .263 batting average with 7 home runs. His stats include 34 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 78 games. |
