Young's Hit Streak Over Tuesday, June 21st, 2039 The 22-game hitting streak is over. Vista Panthers left fielder Ron Young failed to get a hit today against the Vancouver Cobras and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 30-year-old went 0-for-4 in his club's 6-4 victory over the Cobras at Prohibition Brewing Co Stadium. "I think I only made it to 22 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." This year Young is batting .309 with 43 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 33 times and has batted in 23 runs. |
