Wilbur Miles Injured, Out for Season Saturday, July 14th , 2046 The Maui Wave and their fans were rocked today by the news that star starting pitcher Wilbur Miles would miss the rest of the season due to injury. Miles was hurt in a recent game against the North London Spurs B.C. while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was bone chips in his elbow. His doctors think that Miles will miss about 4 months. So far this season Miles has a 7-5 record, 19 starts, 111.1 innings, 118 strikeouts and a 3.96 ERA. |
