Admirals, Wave Agree to Swap Monday, July 23rd , 2046 In a hastily called press conference, Seattle announced today a trade with Maui that will send 25-year old RHP Luis Vélez, 18-year old minor league RHP Steven Duke, 18-year old minor league 1B Yordon Alcantara, and 23-year old minor league RHP Christian Young to the Wave in exchange for 30-year old RHP Bernardino Zola and 27-year old 1B José Carlos. All players are expected to be in their respective new cities in time for today's games. Seattle will retain a portion of Vélez's remaining contract. Maui will retain a portion of Zola's remaining contract. Maui will retain a portion of Carlos's remaining contract. This season Carlos is batting .279 with 99 hits, 23 home runs, 48 RBIs, .342 OBP and has scored 49 runs. |
