Greenville's Jesse Callahan Injured Saturday, July 23rd , 2044 The 84's received bad news this morning. Jesse Callahan will miss 6-7 weeks due to a fractured hand. He sustained the injury in the Greenville-Mexico City game while being hit by a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Callahan sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This year Callahan has collected a .265 batting average to date with 84 hits in 317 at-bats, 56 RBIs, 24 home runs and scored 48 times. He has played in 88 games. |
