Pérez Raps Chicago for 5 Hits Saturday, July 26th, 2042 Fans at Ballpark at the Shore got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Jersey Shore D-Bags outplayed the Chicago Machine en route to a 6-5 win, but the standout was left fielder Cipriano Pérez. Pérez netted 5 hits in 6 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Machine manager Esteban Moreno said in his postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Cipriano Pérez singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Luciano Ramírez in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
