Wiggins Collects Hit Number 2500 Sunday, August 1st, 2038 Denver's Earl Wiggins entered the record books today as he collected hit number 2500 at Cronos Coliseum. "I am proud of this. Not too many players reach this level. You have to be around quite a few years and you have to get a lot of hits," Wiggins said after the game. On his milestone day he went 2 for 3 as the Doobies won 6-4 over the Oklahoma CowEaters. During his career Wiggins has hit for a .329 average and totaled 2501 hits, 558 home runs and 1687 RBIs.
