20 Games in a Row for Fairchild Wednesday, July 30th, 2042 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Larry Fairchild did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Kekambas Park today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 23-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the New Orleans Looters beat the Springfield Stars 9-1 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Fairchild told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the New Orleans clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Larry Fairchild grounded out in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. This season Fairchild is batting .336 with 70 RBIs, 84 runs scored and 17 home runs. |
