Adams Hit String Snapped at 21
Wednesday, August 18th, 2038
David Adams saw his 21-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Oklahoma CowEaters win over Maui at Rainbow Stadium. The 28-year-old catcher was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Maui Wave, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 6-0.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Adams told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 21 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

Looking at his stats this year, Adams has compiled a .377 batting average, while hitting 29 home runs and driving in 91 runs. He has played in 91 games and scored 85 runs.
