Castillo Batters New York for 5 Hits Wednesday, August 31st , 2050 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Gerardo Castillo today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Crown Royal Stadium and paced the Sheens to a 14-5 win over the New York Knights. After his dynamite batting performance, the St. Charles second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Gerardo Castillo hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Williamson in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
