Veteran Serna Hits Three Dingers Sunday, August 7th, 2039 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Cronos Coliseum buzzing, Denver Doobies third baseman Miguel Serna blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 16-11 win over the Orlando Calrissian. "Everything was clicking," Serna told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Serna shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Doobies manager David Lister said. "Miguel played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Miguel Serna singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dustin Velásquez in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Pepe Maes in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Brian Stanley in the 8th. Thus far this year Serna is batting .280 with 19 home runs, 73 RBIs and 73 runs scored. |
