Athletics Hurler Conlan Tosses Masterpiece Monday, August 24th, 2037 Tristan Conlan kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Philadelphia Athletics were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the New York Knights at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark today. The left-handed Conlan gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 5 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Conlan said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." This season Conlan has a 8-10 mark in 27 starts with a 4.17 ERA. He has given up 157 hits in 170.2 innings, struck out 101 and issued 43 walks.
