John Lambert Out for Season Sunday, August 16th , 2043 The doctors have spoken and John Lambert of the Maui Wave didn't like what he heard. The 29-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lambert sustained his season-ending injury during the Irvine Gang Green game yesterday at Rainbow Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Maui medical staff reported Lambert had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months. Lambert's record so far this season is 4-and-4 with 4 saves and a 3.81 ERA. He has given up 50 hits in 52 innings with 43 strikeouts. |
