Kono Reaches 2500
Wednesday, September 12th, 2035
Toshimichi Kono was bubbling over with joy, celebrating his 2500th hit in the Nassau 2-1 victory over the Cobras at Space X Colliseum.

"I learned what hard work, focus, dedication, and opportunity can do. This is how it pays off."

The 36-year-old first baseman achieved that milestone with 1 hit in 3 at-bats to join the exclusive 2500-hit club.

His manager said, "Toshimichi plays the same every day and every inning -- with all his heart. That's why he's such a special player."

Kono currently has a career .316 batting average with 2500 hits, good for 343 home runs, 1336 RBIs and 1208 runs.
