Wave Celebrate Wild Card Win Sunday, September 29th, 2041 The Maui Wave clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a National League wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 99-62, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said starting pitcher Wang Yang. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Wave don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 5th Baseball Stars Association championship in franchise history. |
