Year Over for Gang Green Román Thursday, August 28th, 2036 The Irvine Gang Green were dealt a severe blow when Cipriano Román was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Nassau Rockets. After the game, the team trainer reported Román might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a stretched elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Román at least 9 months to heal.
