Player of the Week: St. Louis's Butler Monday, September 5th , 2044 So far in his young career, Rudy Butler has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Continental League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old St. Louis Browns third baseman hit at a torrid .550 clip as he collected 11 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. So far this year Butler has 29 home runs and a .275 batting average. |
