Setback for Cervezas de Miami and Tony Ryan Monday, September 29th, 2042 Yesterday Cervezas de Miami closer Tony Ryan sustained a setback in his recovery from an oblique strain. The Cervezas de Miami medical staff told him it would be at least one week before he will be able to return to action. Ryan told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Ryan worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. On the year Ryan has recorded 22 saves. In 50 relief appearances, he has 30 strikeouts in 52.1 innings with a 4.30 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 3-7. |
