Cordero Gets Award for Relief Work

Juan Cordero came out of the bullpen and worked through tough situations all year, and for his performance he's been named the recipient of the Continental League Reliever of the Year Award for 2036.

The 28-year-old out of Dundalk, Maryland captured the award with 37 saves in 54 relief appearances, 67 strikeouts in 55.1 innings and a record of 5 wins and 3 losses to go with his 1.30 ERA.

"I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network.

Dave Jackson of the Vista Panthers finished second in voting, while David Simpson of the Vista Panthers finished third.
