5 Hits for Rockets Kono Sunday, October 14th, 2035 Nassau Rockets first baseman Toshimichi Kono had a day to remember at Space X Colliseum today, ripping apart the Toronto Timberwolves and sparking the Rockets to a 12-3 victory. Kono wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Kono told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Toshimichi Kono singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
