Springfield Ace Wins CL Scott Hill Award Monday, November 14th, 2033 The Springfield Stars have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Rien Middelkamp, this year's Continental League Scott Hill Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Middelkamp compiled a 20-10 record in 33 starts, tallied 214 strikeouts in 241.1 innings and recorded a 2.76 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .228 batting average against him. Roland Martin of the Jersey Shore D-Bags finished second in voting, while Steve Stanton of the St. Louis Browns finished third. |
