Yetis-Saints Swap: Martínez for Polanco Monday, December 24th , 2046 A trade between Yonkers and St. Paul was made official this morning. The Yetis have sent 30-year old 1B Pedro Martínez, 21-year old minor league RHP Mario Rivas, 19-year old minor league RHP Herbert Blakeslee, and $320,000 in cash to the Saints in exchange for 25-year old SS Paco Polanco. Martínez currently has a career .258 batting average with 328 hits, good for 12 home runs, 123 RBIs and 177 runs. Polanco is hitting at a .232 rate over his 134-game career. Lifetime he has 10 doubles, 1 triple and 17 home runs with 51 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
