Brown Goes 5-for-5 Against Buffalo Thursday, April 26th , 2046 A jubilant Mike Brown joined the postgame press conference at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Buffalo Destroyers pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Yonkers Yetis third baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led the Yetis to a 13-3 win. "He made it look easy," said Steve Jackson, manager of the Destroyers. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Mike Brown hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Brown on the season is batting .259 with 1 home run.
