Doug Karg Named Best NL Batter in May Wednesday, June 1st , 2044 When Doug Karg stepped up to the plate in May he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the National League Batter of the Month award. The young New Orleans first baseman posted a .321 batting average with 12 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 21 runs. Karg also worked pitchers for 12 walks to post a .385 on-base percentage. For the year Karg is batting .333 with 19 home runs. |
