North London Spurs B.C. Ship England to Boston Monday, June 9th, 2042 Reports have surfaced that North London has agreed to send 25-year-old RHP John England, 29-year-old RHP Ken Wright and 22-year-old minor league RF Lou Jennings to the Boston Rebels in exchange for 20-year-old minor league CF Chris Petit, 29-year-old RHP Héctor Marrero and a 3rd round draft pick. "It's a done deal," said one executive speaking on the condition of anonymity. "I'm surprised word got around so quickly. We just signed off on this an hour ago." The deal apparently is awaiting physicals before an official announcement is made by either team. This year England has fashioned a 6-3 mark, 6.45 ERA and pitched 67 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .292 against him and he has logged 51 strikeouts. To date this season, Marrero has a record of 5 wins and 4 losses and a 4.00 ERA. He has appeared in 13 games and struck out 69 in 74.1 innings. |
