Big Day with Bat: Delgado 5-for-5 Wednesday, April 27th, 2039 The Jersey Shore D-Bags stopped the San Jose Hawks by a score of 14-3 at The Kallipolis today, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder José Delgado. The 30-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Delgado said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Delgado did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Hawks. "Not much that I can say," offered San Jose manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." José Delgado hit a solo-shot off Joe MacAslan in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
