That's exactly what Miguel Sánchez did today at Cronos Coliseum, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 13-2. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Sánchez said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Maui Wave third baseman blistered the Denver Doobies for 3 hits, batted in 8 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Denver manager David Lister said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Miguel Sánchez hit a two-run home run off Ernie Callahan in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ernie Callahan in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Miguel Galván in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year Sánchez has hit at a .286 pace and produced 24 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 21 runs. |
