Super Swinger -- González Slams 5 Hits Monday, May 4th , 2043 It was a parade of hits for Lloyd González of the Santa Monica Bruins at Mohave County Field today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, González finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bruins to a 7-5 victory. "González was really good and we were really bad," groaned Beach Bums manager J.R. Spurr. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Lloyd González singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Danny Navarro in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and walked in the 11th.
