Galveston's Vallee to Miss Season
Saturday, May 9th , 2043
The doctors have spoken and Rusty Vallee of the Galveston Tides didn't like what he heard. The 32-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Vallee sustained his season-ending injury during the Mexico City Cerveceros game yesterday at $5 Footlong Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Galveston medical staff reported Vallee had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months.

He has made 6 relief appearances this year with 0 saves. Vallee has achieved a 0-0 record while holding opposing hitters to a .258 batting average and posting a 2.70 ERA. He has tossed 16.2 innings, given up 17 base hits, fanned 8 and issued 2 walks.
