Morgan Gets 5 Hits Saturday, May 21st, 2039 It was a hits blitz for William Morgan at Mohave County Field today. The Santa Monica Beach Bums third baseman tore into the Houston Hammertime for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Hammertime swept past the Beach Bums 12-5 to ruin Morgan's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Santa Monica manager explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from William was nice but it wasn't enough." William Morgan doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
