5-Hit Game for Rodríguez Saturday, June 8th, 2041 Alfonso Rodríguez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Quarantine. The Olympia second baseman had a field day in the 9-1 triumph over the Knoxville Johnnys, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Rodríguez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Alfonso Rodríguez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
