Álvarez on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Sunday, June 5th, 2039 Mario Álvarez hit for the cycle and paced the Mile High Broncos to a 13-1 victory over the Knoxville Johnnys at Mile High Field today. The Broncos second baseman led the way for his club with 4 hits in 6 at-bats -- 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 1 run batted in and 2 runs. "Now that I know what Mario is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," Mile High manager Jonathan Anderson joked with reporters after the game. Mario Álvarez tripled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jason Martin in the 8th.
