So far in his young career, Rafael Diéguez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the International League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Detroit X-Wings first baseman hit at a torrid .462 clip as he collected 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
For the year Diéguez is hitting .382 with 39 home runs. His stats include 83 RBI and 64 runs scored.
