Reliever June's Best Hurler in ITL Tuesday, July 1st, 2042 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Rodriguo Gasco, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The New England Whalers reliever, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .213 average and walked away with the International League Pitcher of the Month award for June. Gasco posted a 4-0 mark and a 3.91 ERA in 10 relief appearances. In 23 innings, he had 2 saves, 38 strikeouts, and 5 walks. On the year, Gasco has recorded 5 saves with a 4-2 record over 52 innings. He has mowed down 85 batters on strikes and walked 16 with an ERA of 3.63. |
