Red-Hot Heiskanen Scorches Stars
Friday, July 18th, 2042
Getting 6 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Utica's 21-14 win over Trenton today, first baseman James Heiskanen was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Trenton Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Heiskanen said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
James Heiskanen hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Ernest Adams in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
This year Heiskanen has collected a .385 batting average to date with 139 hits in 361 at-bats, 96 RBIs, 33 home runs and scored 76 times. He has played in 98 games.
