García Pounds PCL Pitchers This Week Monday, July 25th, 2039 So far in his young career, Junior García has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific Coast League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Knoxville Johnnys right fielder hit at a torrid .472 clip as he collected 17 hits in 36 at-bats, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. García has a .356 average and a .428 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 134 hits, 23 home runs and driven in 75 runs. |
