Isotopes End Garza's Streak Sunday, July 12th , 2043 Mile High Broncos catcher John Garza and his hot bat finally met their match today at Red Hot Stadium. The Albuquerque Isotopes snapped his 24-game hitting string, holding Garza hitless in 3 at-bats and also whipping Mile High for good measure. "We're real pleased with this one," Isotopes manager Arturo RamÃrez said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Mile High makes it even sweeter." In this current campaign Garza is hitting at a .330 clip with no home runs and 10 RBIs. |
