Jiménez's Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games
Friday, August 5th, 2039
Fred Jiménez continued his streak at Little Phoenix Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Memphis first baseman was 2-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Redbirds were not as fortunate, losing 28-9 to the Utica Unicorns.

"Jiménez was hitting everything we threw at him," said Utica manager Eichiro Yamamoto. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win."
Fred Jiménez grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

This season Jiménez is batting .385 with 131 hits, 30 home runs, 106 RBIs, 66 walks, .485 OBP and has scored 84 runs. He has played in 85 games.
