Rodríguez Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Monday, August 8th, 2039 Alfonso Rodríguez's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Spokane second baseman smacked 1 hit against the Utica Unicorns in today's game at Bill Robinson Field, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Trappers drop the game, 10-8. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Alfonso Rodríguez struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. So far on the season Rodríguez is hitting .342 with 3 home runs, 28 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He has 121 hits and played in 81 games. |
