Michael Anderson Sidelined for Season
Friday, August 30th, 2041
The doctors have spoken and Michael Anderson of the Memphis Redbirds didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Anderson sustained his season-ending injury during the Utica Unicorns game yesterday at Little Phoenix Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while being hit by a pitch. Today the Memphis medical staff reported Anderson had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

This season in 81 games Anderson is batting .308 with 22 home runs, 65 RBIs and has scored 68 times.
