Marshalls Win Tight International League Race Tuesday, September 6th, 2039 The Olympia Marshalls didn't win the International League by a wide margin, but the team still has an air of poise and confidence. "We think we've clearly shown we're the best team in the division and now we want to show we're the best team in the whole league," said first baseman Eric Black. "Everyone in this clubhouse believes in what we can do when we play our best baseball." It remains to be seen if we will see the best of Marshalls baseball in the postseason, but for now the team can enjoy the franchise's 3rd division crown. Manager Manolo Román said although his team was celebrating the division title late into the night, he wouldn't be partaking in the festivities. "I'll still be up early getting us ready to win, division championship or not," he said. "It's off to bed for me." |
