Season Ends for Nelson Chávez of Dawsonville Thursday, August 28th, 2042 Nelson Chávez will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Dawsonville reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Chávez was injured while throwing a pitch in the Highway 9ers-Destro clash at Moonshine Park recently. Doctors said he has a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 13-14 months. So far this season Chávez has picked up 1 save in 22 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 1-2 won-lost mark with a 8.44 ERA and fanned 36 batters in 37.1 innings. |
