Albuquerque Blanked by Coinneach Sunday, August 31st, 2042 The Albuquerque Isotopes manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Spokane Trappers. The Isotopes were overpowered by Spokane starter Matthew Coinneach, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Brenton Lee said. Over 9 innings, Coinneach blanked Albuquerque on 2 hits with no walks and 9 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Coinneach said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." Presently Coinneach has a 2-3 mark in 6 starts with a 3.57 ERA. He has given up 39 hits in 35.1 innings, struck out 29 and issued 11 walks.
