Ramírez Hits in 30 Straight Games Sunday, August 31st, 2042 With 1 hit at Leadwood Grounds today, Manuel Ramírez added another game to his hitting streak -- the Blueville right fielder has now hit safely for 30 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the 83's today, as they fell, 15-4, to the Detroit X-Wings. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Detroit manager John Beasley said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Manuel Ramírez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th and grounded out in the 5th.
