Hammertime Advance to Round 3 Friday, September 25th , 2043 The Houston Hammertime clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Mexico City Cerveceros room was filled with despair and sadness after the Round 2 concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Ralph Jeffries, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. Houston won the final game by a 5-4 count at TooLegit and the series 4-2. Mexico City manager Ben Griffin was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Jeffries hit .417 with a .481 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Houston Hammertime will play against the Waco Blue Cats in the next round. Waco won their series against the Dawsonville Highway 9ers 4 games to 1.
