Isotopes Lose Navarro for Season Saturday, June 28th, 2042 The season is finished for José Navarro of the Albuquerque Isotopes. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Isotopes reliever suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Redwood City Redwoods. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal. This season he has made 13 relief appearances, collecting no saves. Navarro has worked 17.2 innings, yielding 28 hits and giving out 22 free passes while striking out 14. He has a 2-0 record with a 13.75 ERA. |
