Day Batters Vancouver for 5 Hits
Wednesday, May 13th, 2037
Chase Day was at the head of a Jackson hit parade today at Arrowhead Stadium. The second baseman went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Jawn to a 23-1 victory over the Vancouver Vipers.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Day told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Vipers skipper Matthias Maccioni said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Chase Day singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

Day is batting .411 with 1 home runs and 20 RBIs this season.
