Season Over for David Alomar in Galveston Thursday, September 3rd, 2037 David Alomar of the Tides just might have to call it quits for the season. The 27-year-old Galveston closer received a possible season-ending injury against the Knoxville Johnnys recently at $5 Footlong Field. Alomar suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Tides medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 16 months. To date Alomar has 2 saves with a 5-0 season record and a 7.39 ERA. He also has made 31 relief appearances, thrown 31.2 innings and struck out 34. |
