Tides Come up Short of Playoffs
Monday, September 21st, 2037
The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Galveston Tides has been extinguished, at least for 2037. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today.

Asked to comment on how he felt about the news, Tides manager Ze-dong Quian issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN.

The Tides have missed the playoffs 13 times in their 30 years as a Pacific Coast League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2034. In the last 10 seasons, the Tides have missed the playoffs 7 times. Galveston has won the PCL Championship 4 times in their history.
