Alomar Struts Stuff in Win Over Vancouver Tuesday, September 16th, 2036 The Vancouver Vipers had no answer today for Santa Monica Beach Bums pitcher Robinson Alomar. They failed to score a single run against him, losing 10-0. Vancouver managed only 2 hits off Alomar, who had 9 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Alomar got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Beach Bums fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
